The cleaning protocol for the interior of the mini-buses used to transport the tour customers has existed for the last few years before the COVID-19 outbreak. Disinfectant cleaning spray and clean cloth towels are used by the tour operator to wipe clean the bus interior prior to the passengers boarding.
Since March 17, 2020, the Taste History Culinary Tour has not been hosting customers because government mandates forced restaurants to close their inside dining and other businesses deemed non-essential (craft shops) were not allowed to operate or craft shops were only allowed one customer at a time. Recently, Palm Beach County, Florida has begun to move into the next phase of re-opening but restaurants still have limited seating capacity.
Although we are doing our part to stop the spread COVID-19, we miss hosting the tour customers and introducing them to off-the-beaten-path experiences, mom-and-pop eateries and emerging arts districts.
Our benchmark for resuming the tours are the CDC guidelines, restaurant in-dining capacity to host the tours and customer confidence.
To allow the businesses that partner with the tours to re-gain their footing, once the tours re-start they will initially be held only once a month alternating the cities visited each month. There will be a gradual process to add other Saturdays. Private tours during the weekday will be held on a case-by-case basis.

Effective April 26, 2020, to support new social distancing guidelines forcing restaurants to reduce seating capacity due COVID-19, the tour capacity has been reduced to maximum 5 people thus the per person rate has currently increased to $80.00 per person and for children age 12 and over. Tours are free for children under age 12 (Maximum 2 children free per tour. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult family member). Pre-paid reservations that have been made prior to that date will not be affected. Taste History is a non-profit educational organization. Fees are inclusive of all food and visits to cultural centers and art shops. Food portions are equivalent to a meals. All sales are final. No Refunds
The Taste History Culinary Tour is 3 to 4 hours and a fun combination of bus riding and walking. At least three to four mom-and-pop eateries are visited for hearty tastings. Some eating experiences are standing-only. The Taste History tour also includes trips to emerging art shops and cultural centers along with the food tastings at family-owned eateries. The tour is narrated by a live guide.
